About Course
This online course encourages proactive thinking and awareness while providing practical safety advice and strategies for active shooter situations. All tactics and procedures are based on currently accepted guidelines, bearing in mind each active shooter situation is completely different.

The course stresses the importance of a comprehensive approach, involving early intervention, threat assessment, effective communication, training, and a supportive work environment.
You’ll learn about workplace issues that can “trigger” an active shooter, from terminating employment, to a perceived injustice or financial stress. In particular, the course covers dismissal procedures and shows how to deal with potentially violent individuals.
The 5 Pillars of Security will be outlined, explaining the key aspects of a comprehensive security strategy.
The course will also cover the production of Emergency Action Plans and Lockdown Strategies, along with evacuation procedures, shelter-in-place protocols, and safe havens.
